Description Ognjen Sporin is a freelance illustrator and concept artist based in Serbia. He has multiple years of experience in the entertainment industry, and has worked with Netflix Animation, Blizzard, Marvel, NetEase, Envar, and more. STUDENT EXPERIENCES “Every class was for me a new way to make each step when creating an illustration, and a new way of understanding concepts I thought I already knew well, so in the end I’ve come up with a way better workflow and an overall improved vision on how to create new things. “I’m an art student looking for work right now. I was following Ognjen’s work for a while, so when I saw that he was making a mentorship, I got it right away. I thought that the mentor was going to be fully focused on character design, but it covered way more than I expected. From week one, you learn not only the knowledge of how to create stuff (character, assets and environments if you want too), but to train and focus your brain on how to improve each step to make the best of it, and finally get a great piece of illustration in the end. “Also, you know that there are many good artists than aren’t capable to explain all the knowledge they have, but Ognjen is not one of those! He’s a great teacher, and he explains things in every way possible so that you get your question properly answered. He gives great feedback, telling you the things to improve as well as the things you’ve done right, giving also explanations on why is that, so that you get the point and apply the feedback knowing what you’re doing and why are you doing it.
